Srinagar, Apr 08 (KNO): Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur on Wednesday greeted Muslims across the globe in general and muslims of J&K in particular on the eve of Shab-e-Baraat (night of absolution) stating that people should avoid congregational gatherings and pray at home and seek Allah’s refuge and forgiveness. In a statement issued here, Thakur said that people should repent for their sins and pray to Almighty to save the humanity from the ongoing pandemic—Covid-19. Thakur said that people across the J&K UT must follow guidelines of health experts and maintain social distancing. He said people must cash in on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Baraat and bow before Allah and seek his mercy in these testing times. He said that wise are the people who follow the slogan—stay home, stay safe as this is the only way we can defeat the pandemic Caronavirus, which has killed thousands of people across the globe and affected millions—(KNO)
